Bloguin Mock Draft Board Picks 1-39 (Who’s On The Clock?)

WITH THE 38th PICK OF THE Bloguin Mock Draft the New York Knicks select, Terrico White, pg/sg, Mississippi.

For the team that needs almost everything, it’s about time they start with the biggest need to rebuild their team with a rangy combo guard who could conceivably run the point in D’Antoni’s system.  White is the best guard remaining on the board and his length will immediately improve the Knicks perimeter defense and lessen the exposure to it’s weak interior since D’Antoni refuses to play a true big man in the middle.  Although we are unhappy about his assist numbers which reflect Ole Miss’ reliance on him as a scorer, we believe his physical gifts (length, big hands, 40″ vertical) and court sense will allow him to become the baller we need to lead this team from the back court.

WITH THE 39th PICK OF THE Bloguin Mock Draft the New York Knicks select Darington Hobson, SF, New Mexico .

At this point the Knicks are in need of multi-tooled players, not specialists as they continue to build their roster over the next two years. Hobson’s alleged lack of athleticism is certainly secondary to his will, desire and court IQ.  He is willing to work hard to overcome his deficiencies and inconsistencies which is certainly the key to becoming better in the NBA.  Left handed and a good ball handler for his size, his versatility gives us what we need  in a situation where every player should actually equal two positions or more.

The first round (first thirty picks) is scheduled to be completed by noon on Monday.  We’ll see.  The teams are moving mighty slowly in making their choices.  Are you Knicks Fanatics happy with what is left?  Peaceman has been trying to sell you on N’Daye Hamady and Lance Stephenson.  If they are available at 38 and 39, do we pick them for Walsh?
