Knicks To Play Wizards and Lakers in 2010 Summer League

NBA Summer League

The Knicks will be joined by 22 teams this year at the 2010 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas to be held from July 9th -18th.  Knicks rookies (as of this writing we hold the 38th and 39th picks of the draft) and Toney Douglas are anticipated to highlight the New York squad.  The Knicks will play five games including its finale against the Washington Wizards who are expected to draft John Wall with the first pick in the upcoming draft and then introduce him to NBA-type competition in Las Vegas.  The entire Knicks schedule is as follows:

Sunday July 11/ 1 PM — New York vs. Denver (COX Pavilion)

Monday July 12/ 1 PM — LA Lakers vs. New York (COX Pavilion)

Wednesday July 14/ 3 PM — New York vs. Toronto (COX Pavilion)
Friday July 16/ 1 PM — Detroit vs. New York (COX Pavilion)
Saturday July 17/ 1 PM — New York vs. Washington (COX Pavilion)
I intend to attend the games and cover the event for Knicks Fanatics as I did last year.   The event was thoroughly enjoyable — where else could you see up to six NBA games, with potential NBA stars, a day for $25 dollars.  The entire Summer League schedule is printed at the end of this article.  You can keep up with the NBA Summer League happenings by following it on twitter @NBASummerLeague.

The participating teams include a NBA Developmental League Select team, which last year was one of the most competitive in the league, and 11 organizations that were in the 2010 NBA playoffs.  The following teams will play in Las Vegas;
