LeBron James: Cleveland Has the Edge

Via: Sports Illustrated, leaked from an upcoming interview given to Larry King:

CNN has leaked some snippets from LeBron’s chit-chat with Larry King, which is scheduled to air Friday. This should make Cavs fans happy.

King: Do you lean at all toward the place you know the best? I mean do they have an edge going in…

LeBron: Oh, absolutely.

King: … Your home team?

James: Absolutely. Because, you know, this city, these fans, I mean, have given me a lot in these seven years. And, you know, for me, it’s comfortable. So I’ve got a lot of memories here. And – and so it does have an edge.

Personally I can not wait to hear this interview. Not because LeBron will make any news (he won’t, he’ll just create more hype and anticipation for July 1st and give vague answers) but because Larry King has got to be the worst interviewer on Television right now. I heard Howard Stern play a clip from Larry’s show not too long ago where Larry was interviewing a woman (can’t recall her name) but she was describing a traumatic event when she was “taken advantage of,” by a man after a stop at the grocery store. After describing exactly how it happened including getting her head smashed into the steering wheel, Larry’s follow up question was……ready?………..”What did he do with the groceries?”  What!!!!!!!!  I can’t wait to see what kind of questions Larry asked LeBron.

Larry: “Hey LeBron, You’re what 25 years old?

LeBron: “Yes Larry”

Larry: “Could You Elaborate on that?”

LeBron: “Well Larry, Me and my team are going to have to discuss how to answer that question. I’ll have to get back to you on that.”

Larry: “Speaking of your team, can you tell us who your team will be next year?”

LeBron: “You’ll just have to wait and see. July 1st is going to be bigger than the Super Bowl. The free agent summit is going to be bigger than the meeting of the families in The Godfather. Bigger than the moon landing! Bigger than the KFC Double Down (future sponsor, holla!) Bigger than the Game of Basketball itself!

Larry: “What’s your favorite color?”

LeBron: “Green Larry. It’s all about the Green.”

Larry: “Oh you know I stack that cheese too King. By the way, what would you do for a Klondike Bar? We’ll find out right after this break.”

Anxiously awaiting this interview.
