Tonight the Fanatics will gather to watch, and hopefully enjoy, the Knicks' contest against the Charlotte Bobcats. The Bobcats are 1-2, 4th in the Southeast Division. They lost their last game to the Pelicans. It was a butt whippin'.
The Knicks are fortunate to play this team tonight and again Friday night. It should be good practice, especially since Al Jefferson (13 ppg and 8 rebounds per game), who has a sprained ankle, is not expected to suit up. Defensively, the Knicks should be able to shut down the Bobcats who is shooting 39.5% and only score 87.5 points per game, the second worst average in the league so far. However, if the Knicks show lack of effort to start the game, it will certainly show on the scoreboard,
The Bobcats have some good players in Ramon Sessions (15 ppg and 3.7apg), Kemba Walker (16.3 ppg and 4 apg.) and Gerald Henderson (9.3 ppg on 28% shooting), who has been struggling as of late. Steve Clifford is in for a bad stretch as long as Jefferson is out, or so it seems.
So, I expect that we will be enjoying a win tonight and hopefully Friday when we go to Charlotte.
